Το LiteON eTAU108 είναι ένα εξωτερικό SLIM Dual Layer DVDR/RW με σύνδεση USB2.0 με μηχανισμό φόρτωσης του δίσκου "απο την κορυφή" (top loader). Έχει δυνατότητα εγγραφής DVD±R, DVD±R DualLayer, DVD±RW, CDR/RW. Υποστηρίζει τις αποκλειστικές τεχνολογίες της LiteON:
1.Smart-Burn (για αποφυγή buffer under run λαθων),
2.Smart-X (για επίτευξη της βέλτιστης ταχύτητας στο data extraction από δίσκους CD-DA, VCD και DVD),
3.Super AllWrite (εξασφαλίζει την συμβατότητα με κάθε οπτικό δίσκο που κυκλοφορεί στην αγορά),
4.ABS System (μειώνει τις δονήσεις και τον θόρυβο κατά την εγγραφή και ανάγνωση του οπτικού μέσου).
5.USB Powered, (δεν απαιτεί την ύπαρξη εξωτερικού τροφοδοτικού, καθώς αντλεί ισχύ από την USB θύρα του υπολογιστή)
