COBRA PMR RADIO
The PMR radio has a reach of 5 km with UHF/FM ultra-clear reception. You can choose out of 8 channels and easily check the status of the device on the LCD display. The 38 CTCSS and 83 DSC codes offer you a total of 121 privacy codes. Combined with 8 channels, this results in 968 private combinations. These PMR radios are equipped with a battery savery circuitry which dramatically extends the life of the batteries. No batteries and charger included.

- UHF/FM: Ultra-clear long distance reception.
- 5 KM Range Up to 5 KM range: (Range will vary depending on terrain and conditions).
- 8 Channels: Front panel push buttons provide easy access to all 8 channels.
- 121 Privacy Codes: 38 CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System) codes and 83 DCS (Digitally Coded Squelch) codes provide a total of 121 privacy codes. 968 privacy combinations are possible when the 8 channels are combined with the 121 privacy codes.
- VOX (Voice Activated Transmission): User’s voice is detected and the radio transmits without the need to press any buttons, freeing the user’s hands for other tasks. 5 VOX sensitivity levels allow user to select at which point the radio will detect their voice.
- Scan: Allows user to scan either channels, CTCSS privacy codes within a channel, or DCS codes
within a channel to locate conversations in progress.
- Call Alert (5 selectable tones): Provides up to 5 easily recognizable call alert tones for incoming calls.
- Roger Beep Tone (selectable on/off): Conformation tone indicates the completion of the user’s transmission, and signals to VARIOUS it is clear to talk. This feature is selectable and can be turned on or off.
- Key Lock: When activated, provides key pad security eliminating accidental channel changes.
- Power Saver: A unique circuit extends the life of your batteries. If there are no transmissions within 10 seconds, the unit will automatically switch to battery saver mode.
- Auto Squelch: Automatically shuts off weak transmissions or unwanted noise due to terrain or range constraints.
- LCD Display: Easy to view display provides the radio’s status at a glance.
- Speaker/Microphone/Charge Jack: Allows use of “Y’ wall mount charger or earphone speaker/microphones (not included) for “hands-free” operation.
- Multilingual Manual: Includes a 16 language instruction manual.
